7 day Private Island – Placencia

from $2,599

Belize is the hidden gem of Central America!
Belize
Day 1 :
  • Upon arrival at Belize City International airport you’ll make your way to your next flight to Placencia. From here you will be driven to the dock and taken to the island on a small boat. After meeting your concierge and other personnel on the island you’ll be given a tour. Spend the rest of the day settling in and watch the sunset from the deck. And if you’re feeling adventurous spend some time on the 20ft dock waterslide.
Day 2 :
  • Wake up to the sound of the ocean and head out to the restaurant to have your breakfast. Take it easy today and explore some of the activities on the island. Snorkeling, the dock and water slide and maybe some paddle boarding…or do nothing all day and sit around enjoying fresh fruit and other snacks from the extensive menu. Who knew you’d have this many eating options on an island!
Day 3 :
  • Today may be a good day to adventure off the island to spot some dolphins or swim with a school of nurse sharks. Get surprised to find out that you have full high speed internet access to upload all your pictures and make WIFI phone calls…but we recommend doing as little as possible.
Day 4 :
  • Yeah, pretty much same as yesterday! Take a yoga class or use the onsite gym, tour the organic farm or swim in the pool.
Day 5 :
  • Ok, let’s mix things up and head out into the ocean again and discover some small deserted islands to explore and maybe a little fishing to catch your dinner. Return back to the island to have a private dinner set up on the dock, overlooking the ocean followed by a campfire.
Day 6 :
  • Enjoy some more time on the island, use the jet ski to explore the surrounding reefs and other islands or take the Hobie Cat out for a bit of sailing if the wind is right. It’s your last night and we recommend a little stargazing from the dock.
Day 7 :
  • After waking and eating breakfast, enjoy a last plunge and swim in the ocean and wait for your boat to arrive to take you back to the airport.

Q: What is the best time of year to go?
A: Belize has two distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically occurs December through May and the wet season June through November. In the tropics, rain can occur any time of year, but during the dry season rain falls in brief bursts.
Q: Is Belize safe?
A: Belize is a safe country. The big cities have crime like any other city but the resorts we work with are very safe.
Q: Do they speak good English in Belize?
A: Funny enough, English is their first language. Many people speak Spanish but English is the primary.
Q: Are mosquitos a problem?
A: There are mosquitos in the jungle areas. The hotels generally have a good supply of bug spray to offer but it might be good to bring some.
