Trip Summary

This 11-day motorcycle tour begins in Los Angeles, passing through scenic routes like Highway 2 and Big Bear to Joshua Tree. After a night at Autocamp, the journey continues to Sedona via Oatman for two nights at the Amara Hotel, featuring hikes, river swims, and dune buggy adventures. Next, visit Page, Arizona, to see Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, then head to Moab, Utah, for two nights exploring Arches National Park. The tour proceeds to Escalante for a night, followed by Zion National Park, staying at Desert Pearl Inn and Under Canvas Zion. The trip concludes with a night in Las Vegas at the Aria before returning to Los Angeles.

Itinerary

DAY 1
Day 1 :
  • Los Angeles to Joshua Tree - Start your adventure from Los Angeles, riding through the scenic Highway 2 and the beautiful mountain roads of Big Bear. Enjoy the winding roads and stunning vistas as you make your way to Joshua Tree. Upon arrival, check into Autocamp, where you'll experience a unique stay in modern Airstream accommodations. Spend the evening relaxing, taking in the serene desert environment, and stargazing.
DAY 2
Day 2 :
  • Joshua Tree to Sedona, Arizona - Leave Joshua Tree and ride through the historic town of Oatman, Arizona, famous for its wild burros and Old West charm. Continue your journey to Sedona, a destination renowned for its breathtaking red rock landscapes. Upon arrival, check into the luxurious Amara Hotel. Unwind and enjoy the resort’s amenities, preparing for the next day's adventures.
DAY 3
Day 3 :
  • Exploring Sedona - Spend the day exploring Sedona’s natural beauty. Hike to Devil's Bridge, the largest natural sandstone arch in the area, offering spectacular views. In the afternoon, cool off with a swim in the river. Later, experience the thrill of driving dune buggies through the desert, navigating the rugged terrain and enjoying the stunning scenery.
DAY 4
Day 4 :
  • Sedona to Page, Arizona - Depart Sedona and ride to Page, Arizona. Enjoy the picturesque desert landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, visit Horseshoe Bend, where the Colorado River takes a dramatic turn, creating a stunning viewpoint. Capture some memorable photos and spend the night in Page, resting for the next day’s exploration.
DAY 5
Day 5 :
  • Page to Moab, Utah - Begin the day with a tour of Antelope Canyon, known for its unique wave-like structure and light beams. After marveling at this natural wonder, continue your ride to Moab, Utah. Check into the Hyatt Place and relax. In the evening, explore Moab’s vibrant town center, known for its outdoor adventure culture and scenic surroundings.
DAY 6
Day 6 :
  • Exploring Moab - Dedicate the day to discovering Moab’s incredible natural wonders. Visit Arches National Park and hike to Delicate Arch, an iconic geological formation. Explore the park’s numerous trails and viewpoints, taking in the awe-inspiring landscapes. Enjoy the day’s adventures before returning to your comfortable accommodations.
DAY 7
Day 7 :
  • Moab to Escalante, Utah - Ride from Moab to Escalante, a journey filled with scenic beauty and winding roads. Check in at Ofland Escalante, a cozy and welcoming place to stay. Spend the evening exploring the charming town and its dramatic cliffs and canyons, enjoying the tranquility of the area.
DAY 8
Day 8 :
  • Escalante to Zion National Park - Drive from Escalante to Zion National Park, a route offering spectacular views and numerous photo opportunities. Upon arrival, check into the Desert Pearl Inn, which offers comfortable lodging with stunning views of Zion’s towering cliffs. Spend the rest of the day exploring the park and its natural beauty.

  • Zion National Park - Start the day with a hike in the Narrows, a famous slot canyon with towering walls and a river running through it. Day 10 :
  • Zion to Las Vegas - Depart from Zion and ride to Las Vegas, Nevada. The contrast between the natural beauty of Zion and the vibrant city life of Las Vegas will be striking. FAQs

Q: How much driving each day will I do?
A: We estimate 3-5 hours of straight driving as you head to a new destination. Assuming you'll stop along the way and see things it could be longer. We suggest getting an early start each day. After you book, your detailed itinerary will have all that information, including times to start your day etc.
Q: What sort of clothing do we need?
A: Because you are going to high and low elevations it would be good to pack for both warm and cold weather. Good hiking shoes for sure and an extra pair in case they get wet. Comfortable clothing and layers is best. Maybe bring one nice outfit if you're going to go somewhere nice in one of the locations. Gloves and rain slicks just in case.
Q: What else might we need to think about bringing?
A: Bring extra water containers to keep in the car, bug spray and sunscreen. Also a good pair of sunglasses.
