Q: Can you give me general pricing breakdown and information?
A: Here is a quick snapshot of the costs you should expect to pay. ----- Boats generally range from $4k-14k depending on the size and type ----- Skipper approx - $1.5k for the week ----- Chef/Hostess approx - $1.2k for the week ----- Half board meals(2 meals a day) approx $50 per day per person(we recommend this) ----- Fuel cost varies based on how much you choose to sail vs motor and how much you use the generator. Expect it to be about $200-$600 for the week for a monohull and about $500-$1,000 for the bigger catamarans ----- For parties that want just the boat and skipper you should expect to pay about $2k per person for parties of 4 or more and about $2.5-3k per person if you want the works.
Q: What time can we board the ship?
A: Generally it's a 4pm boarding time on the day your trip starts.  We can request an early check-in and sometimes there is a charge for that.  You'll most likely spend the night in the marina and leave the following morning early on your journey.
Q: What time do we depart the boat on our last day?
A: 9am and you will most likely arrive back in port the night before.
Q: Do we have to stick to the itinerary?
A: No, the itinerary is just a suggestion.  You will discuss with your captain what you'd like to do and many times they know a lot more hidden gems.  You're welcome to stay as little or as long at any stop.
Q: How do we book activities?
A: We can always help you with that.  We found most of the time we liked to be flexible and not stick to a hard schedule so much of the time travelers figure out what they want to do when they get there.
Q: Can we scuba dive off the boat?
A: This varies from vendor to vendor but most of the time it's not a great idea.  It's best to plan ahead and go with an instructor on the island.
Q: We have pre and post travel we want to book.  Can you help with that?
A: Yes, reach out directly to us and we can handle the rest of your journey, including flights.
Q: How do we get to and from the boat?
A: Most of the time your transfer are included(see what's included) and we will need your flight or hotel information.
Q: How does food work?
A: If you add a chef and meals to your itinerary the chef will prepare them for you.  There are two choices, half board(2 meals a day) and full board(3 meals).  We suggest half board as you will most likely eat at least one meal on the island.
Q: Are tips included?
A: No, feel free to tip as you feel is deserved.
Q: How does the fuel cost work?
A: It depends on use.  Think of it like a car rental.  You fill as needed.  Depending on the size of the boat will depend how much it burns, but sailboats generally don't use much.   You should estimate an extra $100-$150 USD per person per week.
