RV Road Trips
Day 1 :
  • Arrive in LA and pick up your RV. Drive up the coast to camp at Leo Carrillo State Park on the beach where we can set up surfing lessons if you want or just relax for the rest of the day and watch the sun set over the horizon.
Day 2 :
  • Hit the road early to Palm Springs. If you’re feeling adventurous, stop on the way in to rent ATV’s. Check into your hotel so you can enjoy the pool and a nice hot shower. Maybe indulge in a spa treatment.
Day 3 :
  • Head up to Joshua Tree and stop in the famous Pioneer Town on the way. Eat at Pappy and Harriets Honky Tonk bar before heading into Joshua Tree National Park to stay in one of their many campsites. You’ll get the best view of the stars here in the high desert.
Day 4 :
  • Take your time waking up and head south to Sedona. One of the most beautiful places in the southwest. It’s a 3 hour drive if you take your time. Maybe stop in Flagstaff for breakfast or lunch on your way. Check into your campsite situated near the river and relax for the afternoon. Maybe enjoy a walk into town for some food or shopping. Relax for the rest of the day as there are lots of options for activities tomorrow.
Day 5 :
  • If you’re an early riser and feeling adventurous maybe take a hot air ballon ride. There are tons of hikes and you don’t want to miss Slide Rock. It’s an amazing place to hike and swim. If you want to head off the beaten path we have private guides who can take you to some hidden gems but there are also lots of hikes to do on your own. One thing you won’t want to miss is riding dune buggies on the off-road trails. We had such a blast doing it and we highly recommend. Fairly certain you’ll be exhausted by the end of the day so relaxing at the campground in the evening might be a good option.
Day 6 :
  • Wake up early and drive to the Grand Canyon's South Rim and spend some time looking around. Stay in one of their many amazing campgrounds where you’ll cook over a campfire and stare at the stars.
Day 7 :
  • We have a few backroads that are longer but worth the drive and it’s unbelievably beautiful. Stop at Horseshoe Bend before heading to your Campsite near Lake Powell.
Day 8 :
  • Lot’s to do here! Lake activities, boat and jet ski rentals but you can’t leave this area without seeing Antelope Canyon. Located on an Indian reservation and it does require a reservation to do the tour. YOU CAN NOT MISS THIS! Hot air ballooning in the area is also amazing.
Day 9 :
  • Do the drive through Arches National Park and if you’re really up for a challenge we can set up a private rock climbing excursion. You’ll arrive at your campground and if you’re feeling up to it head into town for some food or relax in the RV.
Day 10 :
  • We suggest getting up early to drive to Escalante. This is one of the prettiest drives in the whole US and it’s where our favorite property is. It’s an upscale glamping experience with luxury cabins, air streams and RV camping. Once the sun goes down be ready for a treat as they have a drive in movie theatre complete with 50’s cars to sit in and free popcorn!
Day 11 :
  • Get up early to explore the area and it’s many hikes. We can set up a private guide to take you to some of the local hidden gems. Horseback riding and dune buggies are an option as well. Probably best to head to Zion midday and check into your campsite. We have a few in the area to choose from.
Day 12 :
  • Wake up and have a quick breakfast and explore Zion National Park. We recommend hiking the narrows. One of the best hikes we’ve done. It’s a must see!
Day 13 :
  • Get an early start, and on your way take a drive through the Valley of Fire to see it’s many rock formations and colors. In the evening we recommend attending the Meow Wolf exhibit, and see either Absinthe or a Cirque du Soliel show. Whatever you do, you’ll be tired by the end of the day.
Day 14 :
  • Drive back to LA to return the RV and fly home.

Q: Do I have to stick to the itinerary?
A: You're free to do what you want and go at your own pace, however your hotel reservations will be strict and hard to shuffle around. These itineraries have you seeing and doing a lot. If you prefer to take your time a little more. Contact us to custom build this trip. These itineraries are for the active and adventurous traveler.
Q: How do I book activities?
A: Some of them you will be able to book with us and others are first come, first serve as they are smaller vendors. After you book Your detailed itinerary will have all that information.
Q: How much driving each day will I do?
A: We estimate 3-5 hours of straight driving as you head to a new destination. Assuming you'll stop along the way and see things it could be longer. We suggest getting an early start each day. After you book, your detailed itinerary will have all that information, including times to start your day etc.
Q: What is the best time of year to do these trips?
A: April - October is best. Many of the destinations are at higher elevations so there might be snow along the mountain passes. July and August can be very hot in some parts of these trips so keep that in mind as well.
Q: What sort of clothing do we need?
A: Because you are going to high and low elevations it would be good to pack for both warm and cold weather. Good hiking shoes for sure and an extra pair in case they get wet. Comfortable clothing and layers is best. Maybe bring one nice outfit if you're going to go somewhere nice in one of the locations.
Q: What else might we need to think about bringing?
A: Bring extra water containers to keep in the RV, bug spray and sunscreen. Also a good pair of sunglasses.
