Day 1 :
  • Arrival in Bulawayo, Matobo Hills Morning: Arrive in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second-largest city, and transfer to Khayelitshe House in the Matobo Hills. Afternoon: Explore the Matobo National Park, known for its stunning rock formations and ancient San rock art. Visit the burial site of Cecil John Rhodes and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Evening: Relax and enjoy a traditional Zimbabwean dinner at Khayelitshe House, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the Matobo Hills.
Day 2 :
  • Matobo Hills Exploration Morning: Embark on a guided hike or game drive through Matobo National Park, home to a diverse array of wildlife including rhinos, leopards, and eagles. Afternoon: Visit the grave of Mzilikazi, the founder of the Ndebele Kingdom, and learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region. Evening: Enjoy a sundowner overlooking the breathtaking landscape of the Matobo Hills.
Day 3 :
  • Transfer to Hwange National Park Morning: Depart from Matobo Hills and travel to Somalisa Expeditions in Hwange National Park. Afternoon: Arrive at Somalisa Expeditions and settle into your luxury tented accommodation. Evening: Join a guided night drive to experience the nocturnal wildlife of Hwange National Park, including lions, elephants, and hyenas.
Day 4 :
  • Safari in Hwange National Park Morning: Embark on an early morning game drive to witness the sunrise over the vast plains of Hwange National Park and spot a variety of wildlife. Afternoon: Relax at Somalisa Expeditions and enjoy a siesta or optional bush walk with experienced guides. Evening: Gather around the campfire for traditional storytelling and star-gazing.
Day 5 :
  • Hwange National Park Exploration Morning: Take part in a walking safari to get up close and personal with the flora and fauna of Hwange National Park. Afternoon: Visit a local village to learn about the culture and traditions of the Zimbabwean people. Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner at Somalisa Expeditions, savoring delicious local cuisine and reminiscing about your safari adventures.
Day 6 :
  • Departure Morning: Transfer back to Bulawayo for your onward journey or flight home, taking with you memories of the rich heritage and natural beauty of Zimbabwe.
