Colorado, Family Trips
Day 1 :
  • Upon arrival at Denver international airport, you’ll have the option to either pick up your rental car or have a car service shuttle you to the property. Either way, it’s a beautiful 2-hour drive through the North American Rockies. Upon check-in you’ll be able to relax, take a walk or go for a swim in their heated pool. It’s a good time to sit quietly and remember why you chose the mountains. Take a deep breath and listen to the wind blow. You’re in Big Country now.
Day 2 :
  • Sleep in and saunter down to the mess hall for some grub. If you’re an early bird, maybe head to the stables to watch the cowgirls wrangle the horses from the pasture. Today might be a good day to explore their hundreds of acres of property with the complimentary bikes. Explore the small ponds and maybe grab a paddle board to splash around on. As the day comes to a close you can enjoy the sunset and sit in front of the fire pit as the stars come out.
Day 3 :
  • Let’s see about packing in a bunch of adventures today. You’ll have lots of options for activities(inquire about a full list of activities, pricing, and reservations). Archery, fly fishing, hatchet throwing, biathlon, or maybe some zip-lining, which they do on the property. Have some lunch to keep your energy up and then maybe head out for some horseback riding through the mountains. You’ll be nice and tired by dinner and probably ready for a big meal. With 2 restaurants on property, you’ll have the choice to indulge in a fancy meal with their locally renowned chef. Head over to the campfire for some smores and good conversation before packing it in for the night.
Day 4 :
  • Keep the momentum from yesterday going and do all the activities you didn’t get to do. It’s pretty much impossible to do them all in one day. Maybe head into town where you can find the best pizza in all of Colorado. Make sure you’re back in time for Campfire smores and star gazing.
Day 5 :
  • Probably a well-deserved sleep-in and today it may be a good idea to dedicate to the spa. Select from a number of various treatments. Spend the afternoon in the game room where you’ll have a variety of games to play. Anything from air hockey, ping pong, foosball, pool, chess, or bowling…Yes, we said that right, they have their own mini bowling alley. And when you’ve had enough of that order up some popcorn and head over to the screening room to watch a movie.
Day 6 :
  • A good day to relax, sit by the pool, hike, or bird watch(if that’s your thing). Head back over to the stables, feed the goats and chickens, pet the horses and if you’re lucky the girls might take you out on the 4-wheelers. We definitely recommend you take a stroll through the Aspen trees.
Day 7 :
  • Wake up early to enjoy the morning light, and take a walk through one of the many meadows or trails to enjoy the last bit of nature before heading back to Denver for your flight home.

Q: What is the best time of year to visit?
A: Depends on what you want to do. The ranch is open year round and close to a ski resort. The summer is great for outdoor activities, hiking and star gazing
Q: What should we bring?
A: Just the appropriate clothing for the season you're visiting. It's at a high elevation so even in the summer we suggest sweaters and light jackets just in case. Make sure to bring good hiking boots and an extra pair of shoes for relaxing. Sunscreen and a good pair of sunglasses is always a good idea as well. A small backpack for hiking is suggested.
