7 day Beach & Jungle – Jaguar Reef/Sleeping Giant

Belize is the hidden gem of Central America!
7 Days
Belize
Day 1 :
  • Upon arrival at Belize City International airport you’ll make your way via flight, car service or car rental to your hotel. After a speedy check-in and tour you will be shown to your room. Grab a drink at the overwater bar and swing from the rope or lounge on the netting with the fish swimming below you. Take the rest of the day and evening to relax.
Day 2 :
  • Indulge in a big breakfast and relax in the morning sun. Take a stroll through town on an electric bike, swim in the ocean, kayak or go for a sail on one of the Hobie cats. I think the staff here might actually be the happiest people on earth. They will make your stay an absolute pleasure. Maybe get yourself a spa treatment. Also, you’ll have plenty of Iguana sightings as they roam around the property all day long. Have dinner the beach restaurant to close out the evening.
Day 3 :
  • Wake up early, eat breakfast and hop on a boat to snorkel at some of the most renowned diving spots in the world. Visit a few deserted islands and chase the dolphins. You’ll likely see a lot them. By the end of the day you’ll be exhausted so relaxing back at the hotel will feel like heaven.
Day 4 :
  • After waking and eating breakfast, enjoy a last plunge and swim in the ocean and then you’ll be driven to the jungle resort where you will be shown to your room. Eat at the restaurant, visit the gardens or sit by the pool. Take the rest of the day to relax .
Day 5 :
  • Wake up early and enjoy a farm to table breakfast, followed by a hike to the private on-site caves to learn about the ancient Mayan cultures of Belize. After lunch maybe try some zip-lining, repelling or exploring the local waterfalls and caves by kayak. Spend the rest of the day at the pool or indulge yourself in a spa treatment.
Day 6 :
  • After breakfast you will venture off property with your private guide to the Mayan ruins with the optional stop to visit an orphanage to meet the children of Belize. We highly encourage this experience and found that it sheds light and perspective into some of the issues that the Belize people face. The experience for us was extremely uplifting and the kids were so wonderful. Spend the rest of the afternoon on property and enjoy the sunset from the outside deck of the restaurant as you enjoy dinner and wine.
Day 7 :
  • After a light breakfast you can experience an early morning horseback ride through the property. Sit by the pool until it’s time to leave for the airport.

Q: What is the best time of year to go?
A: Belize has two distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically occurs December through May and the wet season June through November. In the tropics, rain can occur any time of year, but during the dry season rain falls in brief bursts.
Q: Is Belize safe?
A: Belize is a safe country. The big cities have crime like any other city but the resorts we work with are very safe.
Q: Do they speak good English in Belize?
A: Funny enough, English is their first language. Many people speak Spanish but English is the primary.
Q: Are mosquitos a problem?
A: There are mosquitos in the jungle areas. The hotels generally have a good supply of bug spray to offer but it might be good to bring some.
