Trip Summary

A California road trip promises an unforgettable adventure, where you can traverse iconic coastal highways, explore breathtaking national parks, and bask in the vibrant energy of cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco. From the golden beaches of Southern California to the majestic redwood forests of the north, every mile offers a kaleidoscope of landscapes and experiences, making it the ultimate road trip destination. You can add you hotels, flights, car rental, activities and transfers to your liking. The itinerary is just a suggestion based on our experience.

DAY 1

Day 1 :

Welcome to Los Angeles, once you arrive you’ll pick up your motorcycle and drive to your hotel. We work with many hotels so you’ll have quite a few to choose from. Depending on the time you arrive you can head to the beach or into Hollywood to have a look around. We can make a dinner reservation at one of the dozens of great restaurants in town.

DAY 2

Day 2 :

Here is a list of the many things you can do and we’d be more than happy to set any of them up and guide you to the specific spots…Private surf lessons, the Flutter Experience art installation, Museums, Hollywood walk of fame, Venice beach, Malibu Creek waterfall hike, spas, restaurants and more.

DAY 3

Day 3 :

Head north towards San Luis Obispo. Lots of great places to stop along way. Among them are Santa Barbara and Solvang(a quaint little Danish town). Check into your hotel and if you’re feeling up to it we can arrange an afternoon sea kayak tour through some of the costal caves(weather and waves permitting). Explore downtown San Luis Obispo where you’ll have the choice to eat at many of their great restaurants. Don’t forget to visit Gum Alley. It’s a must see!

DAY 4

Day 4 :

Drive up the coast towards Big Sur. This is one of the most beautiful areas of central California. The drive won’t disappoint. Tonight, you’ll be glamping at the luxurious Ventana Inn. We do have other options but this is our favorite. Sit by the campfire or visit the coffee and food stand they have on property. Enjoy the massive pine trees and nature of Big Sur.

DAY 5

Day 5 :

Wake up and head up the coast towards Carmel, stopping along the way to see the many waterfalls and deserted beaches. Check into your hotel and get ready for an amazing and relaxing stay. Our Carmel properties are fabulous! Great food, spa, pool, tennis and more. You’re not gonna want to leave so enjoy!

DAY 6

Day 6 :

Sleep in and enjoy more of the hotel. When you’re ready drive to San Fransisco. When you arrive, check into the hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Maybe head out for dinner or just eat on the rooftop restaurant.

DAY 7

Day 7 :

Wake up and venture out to enjoy the city. There are tons of museums and activities to do and we can help you with all of it. Definitely see Chinatown and if you don’t mind the crowds head over to Pier 39. Let us know if you want to dine at one of the Michelin rated restaurants and we can see about getting you a reservation.

Day 8 :

Drive up the coast to Mendocino, stopping along the many beautiful lookout points. Check into your hotel built on the cliffs overlooking the ocean before heading into Downtown Mendocino where you can visit their many art galleries and shops. There are a few really nice restaurants in the area that we’d be happy to make a reservations for you.

DAY 9

Day 9 :

Heading back down the coast you can stop along the many beaches and we can arrange for a private Kayaking tour if you’d like. We are also familiar with a few hidden gem spots to see caves and blowholes. Upon arrival at your hotel maybe spend some time relaxing before watching the sunset while sitting by the fire pit. The properties in this area are some of our favorites and you’ll have a few to choose from.

Day 10 :

Wake up and when you’re ready head over to Sonoma/Napa Valley. Be prepared for a few days of luxury as there are a ton of things to do and see. We have quite a few hotels and resorts we work with in the area to fit various budget ranges.

DAY 11

Day 11 :

You’ll have lots of choices of things to do today. Hot air ballooning is a favorite for many and we’ve been to most of the wineries and have a small list of our favorites that we can arrange private tastings. Napa has some of the best restaurants in the world and we’d be happy to make a reservation at any of the Michelin rates restaurants. Please remember they are sometimes booked months in advance so the earlier we know the better. The hotel spas are generally all fantastic as well.

Drive to LA, return the motorcycle and fly home.

Q: Do I have to stick to the itinerary?

A: You're free to do what you want and go at your own pace, however your hotel reservations will be strict and hard to shuffle around. These itineraries have you seeing and doing a lot. If you prefer to take your time a little more. Contact us to custom build this trip. These itineraries are for the active and adventurous traveler.

Q: How do I book activities?

A: Some of them you will be able to book with us and others are first come, first serve as they are smaller vendors. After you book Your detailed itinerary will have all that information.

Q: How much driving each day will I do?

A: We estimate 3-5 hours of straight driving as you head to a new destination. Assuming you'll stop along the way and see things it could be longer. We suggest getting an early start each day. After you book, your detailed itinerary will have all that information, including times to start your day etc.

Q: What is the best time of year to do these trips?

A: April - October is best. Many of the destinations are at higher elevations so there might be snow along the mountain passes. July and August can be very hot in some parts of these trips so keep that in mind as well.

Q: What sort of clothing do we need?

A: Because you are going to high and low elevations it would be good to pack for both warm and cold weather. Good hiking shoes for sure and an extra pair in case they get wet. Comfortable clothing and layers is best. Maybe bring one nice outfit if you're going to go somewhere nice in one of the locations. Glove sand rain slicks just in case.

Q: What else might we need to think about bringing?

A: Bring extra water containers to keep in the car, bug spray and sunscreen. Also a good pair of sunglasses.
