With its serene ambiance, oceanfront villas, and commitment to sustainability, The Turtle Inn Resort offers a truly unforgettable experience, immersing visitors in the natural beauty and tranquility of Belize’s coastal allure.

Note: You fly into Belize City and have the option to have the hotel pick you up and drive you to the resort or you can take a quick flight or rent a car and drive yourself. This is an additional cost and we can arrange it for you. All activities can be booked ahead of time through the hotel, which we can do for you or you can do when you get there.

DAY 1

Day 1 :

Upon arrival at Belize City International airport you’ll make your way via flight, car service or car rental to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and speedy check-in before being given a quick tour and shown to your room. This is one of the three properties that film director Francis Ford Coppola owns in Belize. they spared no expense in making the entire experience world-class. Relax at the oceanfront bar for the rest of the day or take a dip in the clear blue sea.

DAY 2

Day 2 :

Indulge in a big breakfast and soak up the morning sun. Take the day to relax and explore the property. Enjoy the spacious and beautifully designed rooms and maybe get a massage. Make friends with their adopted dog Chip who roams the property searching for love and affection. Get dressed up for dinner and enjoy some of the world-famous Coppola wines that they’ve imported from their Northern California wineries.

DAY 3

Day 3 :

After breakfast, you can hop onto one of their many boats from their private docks and spend the day at some of the best snorkeling spots in the world where you’ll see turtles, nurse sharks, dolphins, and a plethora of colorful fish. Back to the resort in the late afternoon to relax before more wine and dinner at their high-end beach restaurant.

DAY 4

Day 4 :

Today, and any day actually you’ll take your breakfast in your room. Have a car take you into town for some local shopping and food. Meet the beautiful and friendly locals of Belize. Maybe head out onto the boat again for some fishing, scuba diving, or explore some of the small deserted islands. Eat dinner at the oceanfront bar and try their pizza. It’s amazing and probably the best in all of Belize.

Day 5 :

Take your time getting up, eat breakfast and sit by the pool until it’s time to leave for the airport.

Q: What is the best time of year to go?

A: Belize has two distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically occurs December through May and the wet season June through November. In the tropics, rain can occur any time of year, but during the dry season rain falls in brief bursts.

Q: Is Belize safe?

A: Belize is a safe country. The big cities have crime like any other city but the resorts we work with are very safe.

Q: Do they speak good English in Belize?

A: Funny enough, English is their first language. Many people speak Spanish but English is the primary.

Q: Are mosquitos a problem?

A: There are mosquitos in the jungle areas. The hotels generally have a good supply of bug spray to offer but it might be good to bring some.

Scuba Diving

The Caribbean's largest barrier reef lies just offshore from Turtle Inn, offering divers a magnificent diversity of coral and marine life to explore. In addition, a number of easily accessible cayes (tiny islands) have their own reefs and underwater ecosystems, cementing Belize's reputation as one of the world's great scuba destinations.

Snorkeling

Clear, calm waters combined with an abundance of fascinating coral and fish make Placencia a premier spot for snorkeling in Belize. Spend a full or half day exploring exotic coral species and keep an eye out for the dazzling stoplight parrotfish, queen angelfish, squirrelfish, and the great barracuda.

Fishing

The productive sand and coral flats off Placencia combine to offer the chance of salt-water fly fishing’s grand slam: permit, bonefish, tarpon, and snook. Our waters provide some of the best fishing in the Caribbean and we offer experienced and professional local guides. Select fly fishing gear is available to loan from our tackle shop.

Bicycles

We offer complimentary beach cruisers to guests who wish to pedal around the beautiful surroundings. To explore bicycling at Turtle Inn, please ask our concierge upon arrival for more information, including trail maps and other related equipment.

Paddle Boarding

The often calm waters in front of Turtle Inn provide an ideal opportunity for beginners to try stand-up paddle boarding for the first time. It is also perfect for the seasoned paddler to go for a long ride to one of the Mangrove Islands, or try to spot manatees in the lagoon.
