Itinerary

DAY 1
Day 1 :
  • Arrive in Istria and head straight to the hilltop town of Motovun, known for its ancient Celtic and Illyrian roots and spectacular views. Explore the fortress walls and take an electric bike ride down historic trails leading to Roxanich Winery + Design Hotel. Check into the hotel, relax, and enjoy a welcome wine tasting session by the pool overlooking the vineyards.
DAY 2
Day 2 :
  • Grape Harvesting and Wine Education: spend your morning participating in grape harvesting at the Roxanich estate, learning biodynamic winemaking techniques directly from the talented sisters running the vineyard. Afternoon free to relax at the hotel or explore more of the surrounding countryside. Evening wine tasting and dinner at the hotel, featuring local Istrian cuisine paired with Roxanich wines.
DAY 3
Day 3 :
  • Truffle Hunting in Istria: join a truffle hunting expedition with local expert Ivana Karlic Ban and her truffle-sniffing dogs in the forests of Istria. Learn to cook dishes with freshly found truffles at a cooking class led by your host. Evening at leisure back at the hotel.
DAY 4
Day 4 :
  • Leisure Day at Roxanich: Enjoy a free day at Roxanich. Opt for a spa day, additional wine tasting, or further exploration of nearby towns like Pazin or Poreč. Dinner at the hotel, perhaps trying other dishes infused with local truffles or wines.
DAY 5
Day 5 :
  • Check out from Roxanich and travel to Rovinj, one of the most picturesque coastal towns in Istria. Check into the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj. Spend the afternoon exploring the charming cobbled streets leading up to the hilltop Church of St. Euphemia. Evening dinner at a local restaurant in the old town, enjoying fresh seafood.

Day 6 :
  • Morning visit to local art galleries and maritime museums to understand the cultural heritage of Rovinj. Afternoon boat tour around the Rovinj archipelago, visiting secluded beaches and enjoying the Adriatic Sea. Sunset drinks and dinner at the rooftop pool of the Grand Park Hotel, with stunning views over Rovinj and the sea.
DAY 7
Day 7 :
  • Leisure Day in Rovinj: Free day to relax at the hotel spa, enjoy the beaches, or take a cycling tour around the nearby Lim Bay. Explore more of Rovinj’s vibrant marketplaces and boutique shops. Enjoy another evening of stunning views and fine dining at the hotel.
