On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be met by your private driver and vehicle and transferred to your accommodation in the Daintree Rainforest (approximately a 1 hour and 30 minute journey).

Day 6 :
This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your private guide and vehicle for your Mossman Gorge and River adventure day.
Please note: For your tour today please bring enclosed shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain, hat, sunglasses, swimwear, towel and long sleeved sun shirt.
Driving north, your guide will highlight the sugar cane industry, provide informative local history and identify the plethora of birdlife along the way. Beginning the day at Mossman Gorge with a traditional Kuku Yalanji smoking ceremony; you’ll be cleansed of bad spirits and have traditional rainforest body paint applied. Exploring the Daintree National Park at an easy pace, this interpretive 1.5hr walk, will leave you with a deeper understanding of this breath-taking rainforest.
Enjoy lunch before heading towards the Mossman River for a unique river drift snorkelling experience on the Mossman River. A stunning section of water that begins as a highland stream 1300 metres above sea level, the Mossman River runs for 30 kilometres to the Coral Sea; while accumulating water from the 140-million-year old rainforest, it travels through on its way down.
Step into the cool, crystal clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the water’s surface. Watch fish dart in and around the river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional turtle. This tour is a perfect way to stay cool in the hot tropics and is a great introduction to snorkelling before heading out to the reefs. Small children can journey down the river on large river sleds.

Travel through the historic Rocks precinct before commencing your journey north across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to Australia’s favourite marsupials, where you will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, wombats and many other unique Australian animals and birds. This unique park is home to over three hundred different varieties of unique Australian wildlife set within beautiful native plants and trees.
Continuing your journey to the Blue Mountains National Park, you will enter a little-known hidden clearing to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.
