Trip Summary

Isla Mujeres is a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. It’s a vacation destination known for beaches such as northern Playa Norte, resort hotels and for snorkeling and scuba diving on the surrounding coral reefs. At Punta Sur, the southern tip, there’s a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple and a sanctuary for sea turtles.

DAY 1

Day 1 :

Settle in & Sunset Morning: Arrive in Isla Mujeres. Transfer from Cancun airport to the ferry terminal, then take the ferry to the island. Afternoon: Check into your accommodation and spend some time settling in. Evening: Head to Playa Norte, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and relax. Enjoy the sunset while sipping a cocktail or coconut water from one of the beach bars.

DAY 2

Day 2 :

Island Exploration Morning: Rent a golf cart (the popular mode of transport on the island) and explore. Start with a visit to Punta Sur to witness the spectacular cliffs and views. Here, you'll also find a sculpture park and a Mayan temple. Afternoon: Head towards the Tortugranja, a turtle conservation farm, to learn about the island’s efforts to protect sea turtles. Evening: Dine at one of the local restaurants in the downtown area. Try some fresh seafood or traditional Mexican dishes.

Day 3 :

Water Activities Morning: Join a snorkeling or diving tour. Visit locations like Manchones Reef and the Underwater Museum of Art (MUSA). Afternoon: Try another water activity like paddleboarding, kayaking, or even kite surfing. Evening: Explore the pedestrian streets of the downtown area, shopping for local handicrafts and enjoying live music at various establishments.

DAY 4

Day 4 :

Day Trip to Contoy Island Morning to Afternoon: Join a tour to Contoy Island, a nature reserve about 30 km from Isla Mujeres. It's home to numerous bird species and has pristine beaches. Enjoy snorkeling, bird watching, and a traditional grilled fish lunch. Evening: Once back on Isla Mujeres, unwind and enjoy a relaxed evening meal on the beach.

DAY 5

Day 5 :

Relaxation & Farewell Morning: Head back to Playa Norte. Rent a beach chair and umbrella, and spend the day swimming, reading, and soaking up the sun. Afternoon: Indulge in a spa or massage session, many of which can be found beachside. Evening: Enjoy your final sunset on the island. Have a farewell dinner at a restaurant with a view of the sea, and maybe take a night stroll along the beach.

Q: Where is Izla located and how do we get there?

A: It's located in Mexico. You fly into Cancun, take a shuttle or car service about an hour and half away and then a 30 min boat ride to the island.

Q:Does the Hotel have all-inclusive options?

A: Yes, you can add this but it isn't an all-inclusive resort.

A: Yes, there are lot's of places to explore and a cute town to do shopping.
