RV Road Trips
Day 1 :
  • Arrive in LA and pick up your RV and head to Vegas. You’ll have the option to either stay at one of the campgrounds at Lake Mead, outside of Vegas or at one of the many hotels we work with. Either way you’ll have lots of activities to choose from at the lake or in Vegas proper. Relax for the rest of the day wherever you are.
Day 2 :
  • Sit by the pool or take a dip in the lake. Take a drive to Valley of Fire to see it’a many rock formations and colors. In the evening we recommend attending the Meow Wolf exhibit, and see either Absinthe or a Cirque du Soliel show. Whatever you do, you’ll be tired by the end of the day.
Day 3 :
  • Leave early and make your way to Death Valley. Take the Red Rock Canyon loop on your way. It’s stunning! Before checking into your hotel or campground head over to Badwater to see their mini salt flats.
Day 4 :
  • Wake up early and make your way over to the sand dunes and Mosaic canyon. From there you’re already on your way to your next destination, Alabama Hills! Lot’s of great slot canyons and nature to check out near your campground.
Day 5 :
  • Wake up early and hit the road on your way to Yosemite. There is so much beauty on this drive you’re gonna want to stop every 5 minutes. You’ll head into Yosemite Valley and check into your campground. Get settled before venturing out to explore the views of Half Dome, El Capitan, lower Yosemite Falls and be sure to make your way to the meadows in the evening to see the deer come out to graze.
Day 6 :
  • Lots of options today but we recommend hiking the Mist Trail, the Mirror Lake hike or riding bikes around the valley. Don’t for get to visit the Ansel Adams museum and if you’re feeling really adventurous do the full day hike to the top of Half Dome. You’ll need tickets for this so let us know and we can arrange in getting them if they are available. Have a nice diner at the Ahwahnee Hotel if you’re staying in Yosemite valley. Q: Do I have to stick to the itinerary?
A: You're free to do what you want and go at your own pace, however your hotel reservations will be strict and hard to shuffle around. These itineraries have you seeing and doing a lot. If you prefer to take your time a little more. Contact us to custom build this trip. These itineraries are for the active and adventurous traveler.
Q: How do I book activities?
A: Some of them you will be able to book with us and others are first come, first serve as they are smaller vendors. After you book Your detailed itinerary will have all that information.
Q: How much driving each day will I do?
A: We estimate 3-5 hours of straight driving as you head to a new destination. Assuming you'll stop along the way and see things it could be longer. We suggest getting an early start each day. After you book, your detailed itinerary will have all that information, including times to start your day etc.
Q: What is the best time of year to do these trips?
A: April - October is best. Many of the destinations are at higher elevations so there might be snow along the mountain passes. July and August can be very hot in some parts of these trips so keep that in mind as well.
Q: What sort of clothing do we need?
A: Because you are going to high and low elevations it would be good to pack for both warm and cold weather. Good hiking shoes for sure and an extra pair in case they get wet. Comfortable clothing and layers is best. Maybe bring one nice outfit if you're going to go somewhere nice in one of the locations.
Q: What else might we need to think about bringing?
A: Bring extra water containers to keep in the RV, bug spray and sunscreen. Also a good pair of sunglasses.
