Arrive in LA or Sacramento and pick up your car. Head into the mountains to Yosemite National Park. You’ll have a few options here of places to stay to cater to your budget. Check in and get settled before venturing out to explore the views of Half Dome and El Capitan. Be sure to make your way to the meadows in the evening to see the deer come out to graze.
Lots of options today but we recommend hiking the Mist Trail, the Mirror Lake hike, lower Yosemite Falls or riding bikes around the valley. Don’t for get to visit the Ansel Adams museum and if you’re feeling really adventurous do the full day hike to the top of Half Dome. You’ll need tickets for this so let us know and we can arrange in getting them if they are available. Have a nice diner at the Awahnee Hotel if you’re staying in Yosemite valley. The hotel is stunning.
Setting out early you’ll drive towards Lake Tahoe one of the prettiest drives we’ve ever done. Tons of places to stop and see wildlife and nature. Check into the resort and expect a couple days of luxury at one of our favorite properties. Sit by the fire pit overlooking the lake as the sun sets.
Today you’ll have a list on amazing activities to choose from. Swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, golf, yoga, their amazing spa or take a ride around the lake in a 1955 classic wooden boat. Order food by the pool and have dinner at their gourmet restaurant.
Wake up early for the beautiful drive to San Fransisco. You can either enjoy the hotel or venture out and see the city. Let us know if you want to dine at one of the Michelin rated restaurants and we can see about getting you a reservation.
Wake up and explore the city for a few hours. Visit one of the many great museums or exhibits, which we can arrange for you. When you’re ready drive down the coast towards Big Sur. This area is one of the most beautiful areas of central California. The drive won’t disappoint. Tonight, you’ll be glamping at the luxurious Ventana Inn. We do have other options but this is our favorite. Sit by the campfire or visit the coffee and food stand they have on property. Take in the massive pines trees and nature of Big Sur.
Head south towards San Luis Obispo. Lots of great places to stop along way. Check into your hotel and if you’re feeling up to it we can arrange an evening sea kayak tour through some of the costal caves(weather and waves permitting). Explore downtown San Luis Obispo where you’ll have the choice to eat at many of their great restaurants. Don’t forget to visit Gum Alley. It’s a must see!
Wake up and make the drive back to LA. If you have time stop and see Solvang(Cute little Danish town) or Santa Barbara along the way.
